Hours
Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm
Location
Hilo, Big Island
Pay
$22 an hour
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to the installation, maintenance, relocation, repair, replacement, and termination of the gas transmission, supply, and distribution system using necessary hand tools and equipment.
- Keep work areas and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), clean, orderly, and safe.
- Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and practices, ensuring safety signs and devices are correctly in place.
- Promote safety, safe work habits, and good housekeeping, reporting any unsafe conditions or acts.
- Maintain current Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) training.
- Conduct clerical duties, documenting work on company forms and logging preventative maintenance actions.
- Prepare reports as required and perform related tasks as directed.
- Execute all tasks effectively, safely, and efficiently.

- High mechanical aptitude and proficiency with trade tools and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team orientation.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Impeccable integrity for handling sensitive information.
- Professional demeanor to promote a harmonious working environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable with exposure to varying levels of gas fumes and use of respirators.
- Capable of working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and nights, including emergency callouts.
- Good physical condition for moderate to heavy physical labor, lifting up to 75lbs.
- Pre-employment drug screen and State and Federal background check required.
- Valid driver's license required.
