Job Description
The Local General Store is part whole animal butchery, part bakery, and all love. We are looking  seasonal cashiers to provide excellent customer service for the bakery counter!  We are seeking individuals who are excited to work, support, and promote  local agriculture. We are currently hiring for an on call position and then a regular schedule starting from May-August.

  • Previous customer service experience is preferred

Job Duties:

  • Providing exceptional customer service 
  • Taking orders and accurately processing orders through the POS system
  • Fulfilling orders in a safe and timely manner
  • Stocking inventory
  • Preparing  and Serving Coffee
  • Stamping pastry bags and boxes
  • Cleaning bakery counter and making sure it is welcoming for customers
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years previous restaurant/cooking experience, preferred
  • Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must have TB Clearance
  • Must have Food Handlers Certification (can be obtained after hiring)
  • Able to work weekends
