HR Manager, Compensation, & Compliance
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager specializing in Compensation and Compliance to join our nonprofit organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective HR strategies that align with our mission and values. This full-time, exempt position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the nonprofit and social services sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, and performance-based pay systems
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Conduct regular audits of HR policies, procedures, and practices to identify areas for improvement
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
- Oversee the organization's performance management process and provide guidance to managers on employee development
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment
- Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate resolutions
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR, compensation, and compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in HR management, with a focus on compensation and compliance
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
