HR Manager, Recruiting, & Retention

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager specializing in Recruiting and Retention to join our nonprofit organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to support our mission in the social services sector. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's growth and success.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions within the organization
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes
- Create and maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions
- Implement and oversee employee retention programs to minimize turnover and maximize job satisfaction
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment sources, including job boards, universities, and professional associations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters
- Participate in the organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruiting and retention
- Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices and current trends in the nonprofit sector
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience in the nonprofit or social services sector is preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
