This is a part-time position where you can immerse yourself in the art of smoking meats without the burden of supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and smoke various types of meats to perfection, ensuring high-quality taste and presentation.
- Maintain and operate smokers and other barbecue equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine recipes and cooking techniques.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth production operations.
- Engage with customers to share your passion for barbecue and provide an exceptional dining experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pitmaster or similar role in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of smoking techniques, meat cuts, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Language skills: English required.
