The Carpet Shoppe, Inc. (TCS), operating as American Floor and Home (AFH), is looking for a KIBA Construction Designer to join our growing team on Oahu, Hawaii. If you’re passionate about kitchen and bath design, know your way around a construction site, and thrive on turning vision into reality, this role was made for you.

About the Role:
As a KIBA Construction Designer, you’ll be at the heart of high-end kitchen and bath remodels — leading the full project lifecycle from design through delivery. Working closely with our in-house construction crew, subcontractors, and sales team, you’ll create stunning layouts using 20/20 software, coordinate all materials, and ensure every project is executed with style, precision, and care.

You’ll be designing beautiful spaces and making sure they’re built exactly as envisioned. It’s a role that blends creativity, coordination, and customer experience into one fulfilling career path.

What You’ll Do:

• Create detailed kitchen & bath layouts using 20/20 Design

• Lead client presentations, proposals, and design walk-throughs

• Coordinate with our construction team, subcontractors, and vendors

• Order, track, and manage all cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and fixtures

• Oversee installation progress and ensure flawless project execution

• Stay current on trends, products, and NKBA guidelines

 We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Is equal parts designer and project manager

• Communicates clearly with clients, contractors, and teammates

• Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments

• Loves managing details and hitting deadlines

• Can juggle job site visits, showroom support, and 20/20 designs with confidence

Desired Experience:

• 5+ years in kitchen & bath design with construction coordination

• 4+ years using 20/20 Design (or similar software)

• Experience in remodeling or residential construction environments

• NKBA certification or industry credentials a plus
