Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Create, prepare, and maintain curated handcrafted alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, ensuring patrons at Hau Tree the very best dining experience. Lead beverage associates in training, upkeep, and inventory control.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of bartending in a high-volume craft environment.
- In-depth knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- BarSmarts, USBG Master Accreditation or CCS Certification or any related certifications are a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead team as primary bar operator
- Assist management with monthly inventory
- Track inventory and 86’d items for weekly orders
- Organize and maintain product inventory
- Maintain service standards and expectations of spaces
- Liquor commission/control training
- Assist with recipe creation and menu placement
- Act as stop gap for quality control and consistency of beverage product
- Craft our unique, visually stunning, and delicious cocktails according to our printed menu recipes
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and recommend personalized, one-of-a-kind beverage experiences
- Pay meticulous attention to the presentation of each drink, ensuring they are Instagram-worthy leaving a lasting impression
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of flavor profiles to recommend perfect beverage pairings for our diverse menu offerings
- Monitor and assist with inventory management to ensure that all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available for creating our signature cocktails
- Be able to educate customers about the artistry behind each cocktail, sharing anecdotes and stories that enhance their appreciation for the craft
- Daily restocking and replenish bar inventory
- Strictly adhere to safety and hygiene standards to create a safe and enjoyable environment for both customers and colleagues
- Ensure proper guest experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions)
- Must be able to push and lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk continuously throughout the shift
