Program Improvement Manager, Temporary
Honolulu, HI | Full Time | $75,000-$95,000/ year
About the Role
The Program Improvement Manager will serve as the organizational integrator, ensuring all departments, initiatives, and stakeholder relationships work cohesively toward common objectives. This role is critical to positioning DVAC for sustained excellence and operational efficiency beyond the transition period.
Contract Period: September 2025-June 30, 2026.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of seven years of leadership experience, including at least three years in executive management or integrator-type roles
- Proven record of managing cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated success in unifying diverse departments toward shared goals
- Knowledge of organizational integration, nonprofit operations, grant compliance, performance measurement, and trauma-informed practices
Bonus skills we value:
- Experience transforming or rebuilding mission-driven organizations
- Strong background in developing standard operating procedures, accountability systems, and trauma-informed practices
- Legal or social services sector experience
- Proven success improving underperforming departments
- Experience facilitating and coaching leadership teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-departmental integration to ensure all teams work cohesively toward organizational goals
- Manage and oversee projects focused on organizational improvement and program rebuilds
- Design and implement processes, systems, and accountability measures across departments
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, judiciary, and community partners
- Monitor performance, quality, and organizational health through metrics, assessments, and continuous improvement
- Develop and deliver training programs to support new processes and standards
- Maintain reporting systems and provide updates to leadership and the Board of Directors
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, supporting transitions and ongoing operational efficiency
