Role Overview


The Project Manager – ICT & Telecom will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex projects involving telecommunications, structured cabling, network systems, and low-voltage infrastructure. This individual ensures projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements — while maintaining compliance with NEC, BICSI, and TIA/EIA standards throughout every phase of the project.

You’ll coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, and serve as the key point of contact between clients, engineers, and field personnel to ensure successful outcomes and repeat business.


Necessary Skills & Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of WANs, LANs, routers, switches, structured cabling, and server connections.

  • Ability to interpret and comprehend project plans, technical specifications, and scopes of work.

  • Coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors across various project sites.

  • Supervise and mentor field technicians, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

  • Conduct site surveys, prepare estimates from RFQs/RFPs, and develop comprehensive project proposals.

  • Generate key project documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), Project Plans, Schedules, Critical Success Factors, and Closeout Packages.

  • Manage change orders, escalation costs, and project risk mitigation.

  • Collaborate with engineers, electrical contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of ICT systems.

  • Develop time-phased material and labor plans with milestone tracking, deliverables, and customer sign-offs.

  • Conduct project variance analysis and prepare status reports for internal and customer review.

  • Facilitate meetings with customers for progress updates, issue resolution, and coordination.

  • Ensure all structured cabling, grounding, and electrical work aligns with the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

  • Ensure design, installation, labeling, testing, and documentation meet BICSI best practices and TIA/EIA standards for copper, fiber optic, and wireless infrastructure.

  • Oversee quality control for ICT installations to ensure compliance with BICSI RCDD design principles.

  • Manage materials handling, inventory control, and technician productivity in accordance with CCSI and industry standards.

  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate lessons learned and recommend improvements for future estimates and execution.

  • Low-voltage and security device integration projects

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of full life-cycle project management experience in ICT, low-voltage, or telecommunications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • Working familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC standards is required.

  • BICSI RCDD or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors.

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet) preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
