PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful as a Sales Analyst, you should be a proactive self-starter with strong analytical skills and a collaborative spirit. This role requires the ability to interpret data, identify trends, support strategic decision-making, and drive initiatives that contribute to sales growth. Responsibilities include analyzing sales metrics, generating actionable insights, preparing forecasts and reports, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting the sales team in achieving targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas of concern.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, assisting in determining competitive pricing structures.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales performance reports for management.
- Coordinate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and renewal documentation by providing data-driven inputs.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress.
- Support contract negotiations by supplying relevant data analyses and market intelligence.
- Answer internal and external inquiries related to product availability, pricing, and terms by referencing accurate data sources.
- Participate in sales and operations meetings to present findings and support decision-making.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and support resolution of issues by identifying systemic trends.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
- Handle special analysis projects as assigned by management (e.g., market segmentation, competitive benchmarks).
- Represent the company at job fairs, trade shows, or industry events to support the sales brand as requested.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
WORKING CONDITIONS · Primarily office or hybrid environment with extended periods using computers and business software. · May occasionally require visits to customer sites or field environments, which could involve exposure to weather or operational areas. · Requires frequent use of standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, etc.). · Occasional lifting of materials under 10 pounds. WORK HOURS
- Start time is 7 am, Regular job hours Mon to Friday, 8-10 hours daily, due to nature of this position could require earlier start time and/or weekends as needed to meet job responsibilities.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime based on Operational needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. May require working under minimal supervision.
- Requires maintaining a reliable work schedule.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required to convey data insights, trends, and recommendations clearly.
- Must be able to prepare written reports and visual presentations (charts, tables) that summarize complex information.
- Requires regular interaction with customers, supervisors, coworkers, and vendors.
- Must be proficient using tablets, phones, and standard business communication tools.
- Emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, initiative, listening and comprehension, technical communication, and effective teamwork.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Knowledge:
Education/Experience:
- Familiarity with the island of Oahu for regional sales context.
- Solid understanding of the sales process, pipeline management, and sales dynamics.
- Analytical mindset with commitment to excellent internal and external customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups), Word, Outlook, and CRM software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- 2 years of experience in sales support, data analysis, or customer service.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Hawaii driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to work.
- Requires maintaining a reliable work schedule.
