POSITION NAME: Senior Marketing Officer

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Senior Marketing Officer supports the mission and values of Maryknoll School and Catholic education by managing strategic marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives that advance the school’s Catholic identity, academic excellence, enrollment growth, and community engagement. Reporting directly to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Senior Marketing Officer collaborates with school administration, faculty, staff, parish leadership, parents, alumni, donors, and the wider community to promote the school’s programs, achievements, and student experience.

The Senior Marketing Officer implements integrated marketing and communication strategies to support academics, student life, enrollment, retention, advancement, and institutional visibility. This role manages digital and print communications, social media, newsletters, website content, storytelling, and promotional campaigns, ensuring all communications reflect the teachings, traditions, and values of Maryknoll School and Catholic education.The Senior Marketing Officer is expected to have competencies in the following major areas:

- TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency with social media management (Instagram Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), website content management systems (CMS), email marketing, and analytics tools.
- Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and visual content development skills.
- Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns, event promotion, and stakeholder communications.
- Ability to analyze marketing metrics and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Creation & Storytelling
- Create, curate, publish, and oversee compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for newsletters, website, social media, and promotional campaigns.
- Highlight student life, academics, faith formation, athletics, arts, and community impact.
- Collaborate with administration, departments, and student groups to identify storytelling opportunities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content calendar aligned with the school’s marketing, admissions, and advancement objectives.
- Ensure all content aligns with the school’s brand, messaging, and Catholic identity.
- Digital & Event Platforms
- Manage and maintain all official digital channels, including social media, website, and newsletters.
- Provide marketing support and coverage for school events, including fundraisers, athletics, admissions, performances, and community programs.
- Coordinate pre-event and post-event content updates and promotional materials across all channels.
- Monitor engagement, respond appropriately, and optimize reach using analytics.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary liaison with faculty, departments, student groups, parents, alumni, and community partners to coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Build relationships with external vendors, designers, photographers, media partners, and other service providers as needed.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze marketing performance metrics across social media, website, email campaigns, and promotional efforts.
- Prepare regular reports summarizing campaign effectiveness, engagement, and enrollment-related outcomes.
- Recommend improvements based on data analysis, trends, and emerging marketing strategies.
- Maintain organized digital archives and ensure compliance with privacy, copyright, and media release policies.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing initiatives, strategic communication, and content creation
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms, digital communications, and content development
- Proven track record of writing, editing and producing newsletters, publications, and marketing content
- Experience in event coverage, storytelling, and brand development
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) and scheduling tools
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) for website updates and email marketing platforms
- Working knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Photography and videography skills (editing tools a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, talk, hear, reach, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and wrists. The employee may occasionally be required to lift, carry, push, and/or pull items up to 20 pounds and attend events that may require extended periods of standing or walking.
Work is generally performed in an office and school environment. The position requires attendance at evening and weekend events, school functions, admissions activities, fundraising events, and community programs. Work schedules may be adjusted as necessary to meet the operational needs of the school and fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

- SUPERVISION
Exercises working supervision over vendors, consultants, volunteers, student interns, and other personnel as assigned. Collaborates closely with the Director of Enrollment Management and school leadership regarding strategic marketing and communications initiatives.
