We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Project Engineer to join a local development firm on the west side of the island. As a key member of their construction projects, you will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure the successful execution of various construction initiatives. Pay

$80,000 to $100,000 a year, Based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager and the Superintendent in all aspects of project documentation and reporting.
  • Support Project Manager with project closeout tasks (e.g., attic stock, as-builts, warranties, and owner manuals).
  • Assist Superintendent in maintaining and distributing the project schedule.
  • Coordinate and schedule building inspections with Superintendent.
  • Submit accurate and timely AIA billing.
  • Set up and maintain field purchase order and change order logs (owner and trade).
  • Support Superintendent with all daily and weekly reporting including safety logs, housekeeping records, labor reports, timesheets, meeting minutes, and site photos.
  • Issue project Letters of Intent when required.
  • Assist with preparing Exhibit A documents defining project scope.
  • Submit and log Requests for Information (RFIs) accurately and on time.
  • Conduct project-related research as needed.
  • Ensure all designs and products meet company and contract specifications.
  • Establish and maintain an organized project filing system.
  • Maintain files for Owner, Architect, Engineer, and trade partners.
  • Assist in setting up site utilities, sanitation, and housekeeping plans.
  • Maintain the project field procurement log accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry required.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and terminology required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving abstract, and reliable transportation required.
