Job Description

At Maui Plumbing Inc., our Lining Technologies Technicians are at the forefront of modern plumbing solutions, using advanced trenchless technology to restore piping systems without major disruption.

Position Summary

The Lining Technologies Technician is responsible for assisting in and executing trenchless pipe rehabilitation using NuFlow lining systems, including inspection, preparation, installation, and quality control.

This role requires a combination of technical ability, attention to detail, and disciplined work habits. Technicians must be able to follow exact processes, handle specialized equipment, and deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Technicians will work across residential and commercial environments and may support both service-driven and project-based work.

Scope of Work

Technicians will be trained and expected to perform:

  • CCTV Inspection & Diagnostics – Pre- and post-video inspections, system assessment
  • Drain Cleaning & Preparation – Cabling, hydro-jetting, and system cleaning prior to lining
  • NuFlow Lining Installation – Liner preparation, resin calibration, installation, and curing
  • Equipment Operation – Jetters, cameras, inversion drums, calibration equipment
  • Quality Control – Ensuring proper liner installation, cure times, and final system integrity
  • Documentation – Recording job data, before/after footage, and project notes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in plumbing, drain cleaning, or mechanical systems (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to learn and operate specialized lining equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding environments
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours depending on project requirements
