Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kahului, HI for a Tour Guide Driver specializing in Road to Hana tours. The Tour Guide Driver safely operates company vehicles along the Road to Hana while providing engaging, accurate commentary about local history, culture, and natural landmarks. Daily responsibilities include greeting guests, conducting pre-trip briefings, managing pick-ups and drop-offs, and ensuring guest comfort and safety throughout the tour. The role involves answering questions, offering recommendations, and adapting the tour experience to weather, traffic, and guest needs. The Tour Guide Driver also assists with basic vehicle checks, maintains a clean and welcoming vehicle interior, and supports sales of additional tours or services as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Guided Tours and providing engaging commentary to diverse groups.
• Strong Communication skills, including clear, friendly, and professional speaking abilities.
• Proven Customer Service skills with a focus on hospitality, patience, and conflict resolution.
• Interest or background in local History and culture, with the ability to learn and share accurate information.
• Comfort with basic Sales activities, such as promoting additional tours, upgrades, or related services.
• Hold a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record meeting Tour Industry standards, verified through a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to be on your feet or driving for extended periods.
• First aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain, and familiarity with basic safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of Maui geography and Road to Hana conditions is a plus; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Must be a Maui resident for minimum of 1 year.
• Able to lift 25-40 pounds.
• Are able to pass a Federal ID background check to receive your TWIC card
• Are able to receive the required PUC Medical Examiner's Certificate verifying qualification to operate commercial tours
