Supply Chain Buyer Planner located in
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
A Supply Chain Buyer Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring operation of the production process by procuring materials, coordinating inventory, and assisting with production planning. Key Responsibilities:
Procurement of Raw Materials:Procure raw materials and packaging supplies essential to the brewery operations.
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best quality and price.
Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
Implement inventory control systems to avoid overstock or stockouts.
Work closely with Brewery Supervisors and Managers to ensure proper storage levels.
Production Planning:Develop and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts, seasonal trends, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with brewing and packaging teams to ensure timely product availability.
Adjust production plans as needed to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
Supplier Relationship Management:Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Address any issues, such as supplier delays or quality concerns.
Evaluate supplier performance and conduct periodic reviews.
Cost Management:Monitor and manage the costs associated with procurement and inventory.
Work to optimize purchasing processes to reduce costs without compromising quality.
Prepare cost analysis reports for management.
Quality Assurance:Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all materials meet the required standards before use in production.
Ensure that the brewery complies with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze purchasing and inventory data to forecast future needs and trends.
Prepare reports for management on inventory levels, costs, supplier performance, and production schedules.
Use data to inform decision-making and improve efficiency in procurement and production processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Spreadsheet: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Negotiation Skills: To secure strong relationships with suppliers.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring the quality and quantity of materials meet production needs.
Knowledge of Brewing Processes: Ability to learn and understand the specific needs of the brewing industry.
Supply Chain Management: Experience in managing supply chain processes.
Communication: Ability to work closely with different teams within the brewery and occasionally speak/present to those teams.
Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field or equivalent experience
Work Environment/Physical, Mental and Visual Demands:
This postion may include frequent interruptions, working alone, or working in large teams, and working extended hours during peak periods. Continuous mental and visual attention is required as well as performing complex tasks to close accuracy. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Noise level moderate. May be exposed to outside climate on an occasional basis. Some travel may be requried. Lifting, carrying, reaching 15 lbs. and less - frequently.
