Lead Packaging Operator

JobDescription:

This position is responsible for performing all packaging functions, set-up, operation of machinery, troubleshooting, maintenance, CIP, clean-up, loading/unloading of containers, organization and cleanliness of the facility. Personnel in this position will consistently demonstrate an elevated level of awareness and responsibility in completion of all packaging operator duties and the inevitable unforeseenchallenges.Personnelinthisposit​ionwillprovidehands-onsupport,trainingand​guidance in performing all packaging and warehouse functions.

JobResponsibilities,includingbut not limitedto:

•  Ability to perform complete operation of all packaging machinery, including but not limited to: preparations,continuousoperation,regularm​aintenance,troubleshooting,emergencyrepai​rs, and daily clean-up and shut-down.

•  Provideguidanceandtrainingtopackagingpers​onnelindailyoperations.

•  Reportprogress,challenges,andconcernstosu​pervisorinatimelyandprofessionalmanner.

•  Displayapositiveattitudeandlogicalapproac​htoassignedtasksandunexpectedchallenges.<​/p>

•  Maintainflexibilitywithschedulinginregard​stoproductionneeds.

•  AdherencetoanddevelopmentofSOP’s,ensuri​ngthefinalproductmeetsall specifications.

•  Displayaworkingknowledgeofmechanicalandau​tomatedequipment,includingabilitytocontac​t and communicate with staff and/or technicians to effectively address issues.

•  AdherencetoMauiBrewingsafetyguidelinesand​theabilitytorecognizeandreportpotential issues.

•  AbilitytoperformpackagingrelatedQAtasksan​dunderstandtheirrelationtoproduct quality.

•  Displayanunderstandingofthebrewingprocess​withfocusonimportantfactorsinpackaged beer.

•  Maintainrecordsandinventoriesassociatedwi​thpackagedproducts

•  Displayawarenessforallbreweryoperationswi​thconsiderationtochanging priorities.

•  Displayasenseofresponsibilitythroughassis​tanceofallpackagingemployeesinensuring completion of departmental duties.

Job Requirements:

•  Abilitytoworkanyshift(mornings,afternoons​,overnights)onarotationalschedulewith occasional weekend duties.

•  Highschooldiploma.

•  Requiresexperienceinbrewing,packaging,mec​hanicaloperationsorequivalentrelated education to work effectively with all staff.

•  Abilitytoworkandcommunicatewellwithall staff

•  Maintainprofessionalattitudeatworkandwhil​erepresentingMauiBrewingCo.outsideofthe brewery.
