The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency. Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday; flexible shift times within 7am-5pm timeframe

Location

Kihei, Maui

Pay

$35 to $37 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger records for managed properties and company accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Review and process vendor invoices and property-related expenses.
  • Record and track owner payments, guest payments, and other receivables.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections if needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of owner statements and property financial reports.
  • Track property expenses and ensure accurate allocation to the appropriate property or account.
  • Maintain organized owner, vendor, and guest files.
  • Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal accounting procedures and controls.
  • Assist with special projects and financial analysis as requested by management.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or 2-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
