What will I be doing?
 

As the On-Call Cook III, you will plan, prepare, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlet(s) in accordance with standards, recipes and training.

Schedule Details:

 

This position is On-Call. On-Call Team Members are generally scheduled 0-19 hours per week.

Our Food & Beverage Department operates 7 days per week - Cooks / Kitchen Team Members will work shifts ranging between 6:00am through 10:00pm.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Prepare food items according to recipes, quality standards, production schedules and timelines to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Work with all products and food ingredients involved.
  • Operate, clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and maintain and address sanitation and safety practices in all workstations.
  • Maintain good coordination of food production - prioritize, organize, delegate work and follow through as required.
  • Submit proper requisition forms for daily food orders from storeroom.
  • Transfer cases of received goods to the workstations.
  • Assist Kitchen Manager and team members as needed in all other related duties

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in the culinary field and/or completion of a formal culinary training or apprenticeship program
  • Valid Hawaii Food Handler's Card
  • Must possess (or be able to obtain) Hawaii Dept. of Health Tuberculosis Clearance Certification.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
 

  • Previous hotel/hospitality culinary experience
  • Proficient in the English language to communicate both verbally and in writing with guests, owners and co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments
  • Excellent customer service skills
