The Remedy Bar™ is our experiential retail and wellness concept, bringing together product discovery, education and complementary wellness services in a welcoming, elevated environment.

We are preparing to open our second Remedy Bar location in Lahaina and are looking for a Hawaiʻi Licensed Massage Therapist to help us develop and deliver our massage and body treatment offering.

About the Role

The Licensed Massage Therapist will provide professional massage services at our Lahaina Remedy Bar, initially including chair massage and targeted treatments, with the potential to provide full-body massage and other treatment-room services as our service menu develops and applicable permitting is completed.

This person will also have an opportunity to help shape the Remedy Bar treatment experience from the beginning, working with our team to develop treatment protocols, service concepts and a thoughtful treatment menu incorporating select Maui Grown Remedies products.

Because this position will support the operation of our permitted massage establishment, the selected candidate must hold an active Hawaiʻi massage therapist license and be comfortable being identified as a principal massage therapist on the establishment's massage establishment permit and related regulatory documentation, as applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional chair massage, targeted massage and, as offered, full-body massage services to Remedy Bar guests.

• Maintain an exceptional standard of guest care, professionalism, sanitation and treatment-room readiness.

• Help develop the Remedy Bar's initial massage and body treatment menu, including treatment concepts, timing, protocols and guest experience.

• Learn the properties and intended uses of relevant Maui Grown Remedies products and appropriately incorporate designated products into treatments.

• Provide practical feedback on treatment products, massage mediums and protocols based on hands-on use.

• Support occasional demonstrations, launch activities, special events and wellness activations.

• Help establish appropriate treatment-room procedures, sanitation practices, intake processes and service standards.

• Maintain accurate licensure and any documentation required for massage establishment compliance.

• Serve as a principal massage therapist associated with the Lahaina massage establishment permit, including being listed on applicable establishment documentation.

• Collaborate with the Remedy Bar team as services evolve based on guest feedback, utilization and business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Hawaiʻi Massage Therapist (LMT) license and valid LMT license number.

• License must be in good standing.

• Must be willing and eligible to be listed as a principal massage therapist for the Lahaina massage establishment permit, as applicable.

• Professional massage therapy training and hands-on client experience.

• Comfortable providing chair massage and traditional table-based massage.

• Strong understanding of professional boundaries, sanitation, client safety and massage therapy standards.

• Warm, polished and professional approach to guest care.

• Reliable, collaborative and comfortable helping build a new service offering rather than stepping into an already established spa program.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following is especially welcome:

• Resort, hotel, spa or luxury wellness environments

• Sports or recovery-focused massage

• Therapeutic or targeted massage

• Developing spa treatments or treatment protocols

• Working with topical wellness products

• Hawaiʻi hospitality and visitor-facing wellness services

Schedule

This is initially envisioned as a part-time, flexible position, with scheduling based on treatment demand and Remedy Bar operating needs. Availability for select weekends, events and launch activities is preferred.

There may be an opportunity for the role and treatment hours to expand as the Lahaina location develops its wellness service offering.
