Shelter Supports Manager

Hale ʻŌpio Kauaʻi is seeking a Shelter Support Manager to lead our Emergency Shelter Program and supervise a dedicated team providing 24/7 support to youth.
What You’ll Do
-
Lead, supervise, and support shelter staff
-
Oversee daily shelter operations and 24/7 staffing
-
Coordinate youth intake, referrals, assessments, and services
-
Lead crisis response, safety planning, and de-escalation
-
Ensure trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
-
Maintain DHS licensing, documentation, and program compliance
-
Train and develop staff
-
Collaborate with DHS/CWS, law enforcement, and community partners
What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field required
-
Master’s degree preferred
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in program management, housing services, or crisis intervention
-
Supervisory experience required
-
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and crisis-management skills
-
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting youth with complex needs
Schedule: Full-time; flexibility for evenings/weekends and crisis response as needed.
