ABOUT THE HYCC EŌ MAUI TEAMS PROGRAM:

A positive attitude, an interest in learning, curiosity about interpreting nature, physical and behavioral ability*, and a desire to serve on outdoor projects is required. Although program activities are diverse, the majority of time is dedicated to invasive species removal.
Participants will serve as a team during the term and learn about natural resource management by taking part in service projects and intense conservation activities by the various conservation and government organizations. Members will serve with experts in various fields and gain life skills that will aid them in school and beyond.
While scheduling varies depending on the host site, HYCC members are expected to serve an average of 40 hours a week, typically Monday through Friday, in some cases requiring weekends and evenings. Some duties may require extensive camping throughout the program depending on the needs of the host site.
