Truck Washer

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Truck Washer to join our transportation team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and understand the importance of keeping our trucks in top condition for safe operation and positive company representation.

Responsibilities

* Wash and clean the exterior of trucks, trailers, and other fleet vehicles using pressure washers, brushes, and cleaning solutions
* Clean and detail truck interiors, including cabs, sleeper berths, and cargo areas
* Remove dirt, grime, grease, and road debris from all vehicle surfaces
* Inspect vehicles during cleaning process and report any damage, defects, or maintenance issues to supervisors
* Apply protective coatings and treatments to vehicle surfaces as needed
* Clean wheels, tires, and undercarriage components
* Maintain and organize washing equipment and supplies
* Follow all safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals
* Ensure washing area remains clean, organized, and free of hazards
* Document completed work and maintain accurate records of vehicles serviced
* Perform routine maintenance on washing equipment
* Work efficiently to meet daily vehicle cleaning quotas
* Assist with other yard duties as assigned

Requirements

* Ability to operate pressure washers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively
* Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
* Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
* Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wet environments
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Basic understanding of vehicle cleaning products and their proper applications
* Reliable attendance and punctuality
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Good communication skills to report vehicle issues and coordinate with team members
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
* Valid driver's license preferred
* Previous experience in vehicle washing, detailing, or related field is a plus but not required
* Must be able to read and understand safety labels and material safety data sheets
